Title:
Force Quit icon does not kill anything, nor respond to Esc
Status in “gnome-panel” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
Scenario:
I am using the Gnome Classic no-effects session in Ubuntu Precise. I
added a panel with a Force Quit applet on it. When I click it, the
Force Quit icon brings up a small undecorated window that reads,
roughly, "Click a window to force it to quit, or Esc to cancel". I
then click the window, and the window's owning program is not killed.
Additionally, pressing Esc does not work, and input to my Gnome
session is frozen with the "cross" (+) cursor, without shortcuts
available to switch windows or close the undecorated window, until I
issue "killall gnome-panel" in one of the text-only virtual terminals.
The expected behaviour is of course that the Force Quit applet works
:)
