Title:
Add support for MS Word 2007 Formats - Needed for OOo
Status in “shared-mime-info” package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Status in “shared-mime-info” source package in Hardy:
Fix Released
Bug description:
Binary package hint: shared-mime-info
I saved out test files for every format that MS Word 2007 supports
saving and used gvfs-info to report what it thought about each file.
It seems that most of them are not supported for detection yet. I will
attach a zip file with all formats MS Word 2007 can save out to:
These need to be improved for certain:
example - single file web page.mht : text/plain - application/octet-stream
example - word 2003 xml document.xml : application/xml - application/xml
example - word 97-2003 template.dot : application/x-ole-storage -
application/octet-stream
example - word 2007 macro-enabled template.dotm : application/zip -
application/octet-stream
example - word 2007 template.dotx : application/zip - application/octet-stream
example - word 2007 xml document.xml : application/xml - application/xml
example - works 6.0 - 9.0.wps : application/x-ole-storage -
application/octet-stream
The following could be improved by subclassing them, but it might not
really be too big of a deal...
example - web page filtered.htm : text/html - text/html
example - web page.htm : text/html - text/html
I will also have additional bugs for Access/Excel/PowerPoint file
formats.
Thanks!
Chris Cheney
