Support for Ubuntu 9.10 "Karmic Koala" has ended. If you are still
having this problem on a newer version of Ubuntu please make sure all of
the following packages are installed:
gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg
gstreamer0.10-plugins-good
gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad
gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly
libdvdread4
libdvdnav4
libdvdcss2
If the problem persists please file a new bug.

dvd playback sluggish, really bad framerate

Bug description:
Package is listed in debug I think. If not, here it is.
gstreamer 0.10
Basically the dvd playback feature does not work as it should. I see
the initial screen, but after that nothing happens. MAjor freeze.
Cleaned both DVD drives with laser lens cleaner and some air-dusting
spray. No dice.
Also reinstalled totem twice.
