There seems to be no response on this...? The problem still persists despite kernel updates in the last few dates.

The laptop (Dell XPS 15 L502x) wifi switch is off and I have to manually start it up with Fn+F2. This happens every time. I was running Fedora 16 before switching to ubuntu and in Fedora wifi was always connected after login, so I'm thinking this is a wireless configuration bug? If anybody needs any other information, I'll be happy to provide it.
