Currently in 12.04 Precise Pangolin, left-edge reveal for an auto-hidden
launcher does not work within Virtualbox, possibly due to how Virtualbox
captures the mouse pointer (bug 971018). A work-around for this issue to
Machine -> Disable Mouse Integration. This makes the edge reveal
behaviour for the launcher work correctly, but unfortunately, the mouse
cursor disappears.
Kernel version is: Ubuntu 3.2.0-24.37-generic 3.2.14
