I found that it can be linked to the power management of the wireless card. I read thist article http://www.hitxp.com/articles/software/ubuntu-fix-slow-wireless-internet-connection-speed-upgrading-11-04-natty-narwhal/ and did what is recommended. Now the Power Management is off for wlan0 and it's working better. I can get the wireless connection when I am running with my battery. Is it normal?

My problem is that, most of the time when I start or resume my laptop without having connected the AC power cable before, I am not able to connect to my wifi network. If I just suspend my laptop, connect the AC power and resume, then the wifi connection gets ok in 2 seconds. I would like to be able to use my laptop without AC power. I am sure that there is nothing to see with my battery. It's a new laptop. Is it linked to the current power saving strategy that I am using? I modified nothing. So I think I am using the default ones. I am using Precise Pangolin since it's beta1. Is there some defaults that are wrong?
