vpn stopped working

Bug description:
vpn was working fine, i used a ptpp connection without any problem,
but after the last updates it just stopped working and would fail to
connect.i have this problem in ubuntu 11.10 also but it was working
fine in ubuntu 12.04 untill 4 days ago
