I have the same issue as everyone else, nothing much else to add. I don't recall these being generated in prior Ubuntu versions.
Just a thought since others have suggested removing Ubuntu one solves the problem and others that logging out before shutdown does. It would seem something needs to be changed with how shutdown stops U1.
