Problem: When i click shutdown (upon logging into ubuntu 12.04) the
system starts to shut down but freezes with the ubuntu logo and one or 2
dots filled. Exactly the same problem happens upon restarting. When
restarting sometimes it freezes before shutting down with exactly the
same symptom or restarts normally. This appears to be almost random.
Does not make a difference whether i have lots of programs open when i
restart or no programs open, wifi on or off it is the same.
I have not tweaked any boot up settings.
