Title:
gnome webdav wrongly interprets displayname property
Status in “gvfs” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Status in Baltix GNU/Linux:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Binary package hint: nautilus
When using a WebDAV server that provides displayname properties gnome-vfs
incorrectly uses those instead of the actual filenames.
For example, ownCloud (http://www.owncloud.org) provides a displayname
consisting of the absolute path and filename, all uppercase, for all entries;
if in the root directory you have two files foo.txt and bar.txt as well as the
directory foodir, owncloud will send the displaynames /FOO.TXT /BAR.TXT and
/FOODIR/ to the client. Doubleclicking the text files will then open them in
gedit and the filename will be correct.
Clicking on the directory /FOODIR/ will open that directory, but show all
files in there as /FOODIR/FOO.TXT and /FOODIR/BAR.TXT instead of the expected
foo.txt and bar.txt.
Also, uploading a file will fail because the upload will be tried as
"PROPFIND /FOODIR/" instead of "PROPFIND /owncloud/webdav/owncloud.php/foodir/".
