Dear Sebastien, I don't think it is picture problem nor an environmental problem because I run my ubuntu 10.04 in the same hardware (I only switch the disk with 12.04 installation instead) and on this old version the same picture doesn't freeze the system.
Even launched using the terminal, the computer freeze and no message is displayed on the terminal. I must perform a hard reboot. (remember old MS stuff lmao) I annex the xorg log and the pic causing blocking.
