Hello again Stapel! My apologies, this actually appears to be the issue
described in bug 994632, so I will mark this as a duplicate of that one.
This issue is fixed in an upcoming update to Software Center that should
be out in a day or two, but in the meantime you can easily fix this
issue yourself by opening a terminal and typing the following to install
the missing package (ubuntu-sso-client-gtk):
$ sudo apt-get install ubuntu-sso-client-gtk

I have to turn on recommendations every time
Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
In USC I click on the button in the bottom left to turn on
recommendations. If I close USC, and then open again, I have to click
on the button again. I expect this setting to be saved to file, but it
appears it is not.
