is this still an issue with thunderbird 12 installed by default now?

Since the upgrade yesterday to Ubuntu 10.10 thunderbird uses
constantly 50% CPU and causes the HD to be in use all the time. This
problem directly happened after the upgrade, it didnt happen prior the
upgrade.
