In Unity 5.12.0, when we mount a flash drive and then we eject it from its launcher quicklist we always get this message, so I think this bug can be marked as fixed in Ubuntu 12.04.

However, if I insert it, copy some files, then unmount, I get very nice "data writing in progress", then "safe to remove" popups. If it was by design to suppress the safe-to-remove notification when there is no data written then please reconsider -- the user should receive notification when it's safe to remove a pendrive, no matter how soon that may be :) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-volume-manager/+bug/85961/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
