Bug description:
Since upgrading to Oneiric, I'm experiencing lots of display
freezes—sometimes several per day. This is happening on two different
machines with different graphics cards (one Intel and one Nvidia),
both connected to external monitors (one VGA and one HDMI).
On both machines, the same thing happens: the display becomes non-
responsive. I can still see everything, and I can still move the mouse
cursor around, but I can't do anything—can't click, can't use the
keyboard, nothing happens.
I'd had some display issues on Natty with external monitors but this
is far worse.
I'm not sure what kinds of logs to generate that would be helpful
here, but please let me know and I'll try to get them.
