hank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to
look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many
changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem
may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if
you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version. When you test
it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running
apport-collect 463460 and any other logs that are relevant for this

Title:
[karmic] Network frequently disconnects when multiple access points
available (e.g. at Imperial College London)

Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: network-manager

Every few minutes I get disconnected at uni, and it's pretty
embarrassing and inconvenient. It sometimes reconnects straight away
(though it always takes like 15 seconds or so to reconnect). Other
times it won't reconnect and it will (stupidly, as in the event of any
n-m failure) prompt me for my network authn.

Doesn't happen at home where I only have one access point. Possibly an
  issue with roaming.
