Also Just confirming. aditional info. if replying and already made changes, than changing color freezes everything. but you can't close the message beacause you made changes and the buttons to discard etc don't work. only way is to "destroy process" in system monitor. or killall in command promt.

The application is still resonding i.e. checking for mail and calendar reminders, but all button, text fields and menus do not respond. If you try to close the compose window using the unity window buttons, the save change diaglog opens but these buttons do not work either (mouse or keyboard). The only way to stop the application is xkill or kill.
