Title:
  Not able to shutdown,reboot and open synaptic manager without command
  line

Status in “gnome-session” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Hi All,

  I am using ubuntu 12.04 but I am experiencing many problems now.

  i)I am not able to shutdown or reboot without command line.

  ii)Not able to view network connection on the top panel.

  iii)Not able to open synaptic manager without command line.

  iv)Internal errors occur very often.

  v)Sound is not working.

  I have updated several time using sudo-apt get update but nothing
  useful.
