Title:
  LibreOffice .desktop files need more detailed categories

Status in “libreoffice” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: libreoffice

  Each one of LibreOffice's .desktop files in Ubuntu Natty
(libreoffice-calc.desktop, libreoffice-draw.desktop,
libreoffice-impress.desktop, libreoffice-math.desktop and
libreoffice-writer.desktop) has a Categories field, but it only has one
category listed, as follows:
  Categories=Office;

  It is encouraged to use the additional categories in .desktop files as
  well. This way, different menu systems can make use of that metadata
  to neatly present things. For this very case, the specification
  (http://standards.freedesktop.org/menu-spec/latest/apa.html) has
  standard Spreadsheet, VectorGraphics, FlowChart, Presentation, Math
  and WordProcessor categories. These were used with the OpenOffice
  packages shipped in Ubuntu 10.10 and earlier.
