Hi junaid and others affected by this bug! I just tested this using the
latest Software Center version 5.2.2.2 (and associated packages) in
12.03 and I found that the auth dialog password field is in fact focused
after clicking to install a package. Therefore it seems to me that this
bug is fixed in 12.04 now.
Could you please test this with your 12.04 machine fully updated to
verify that this is now working, and report back here?
