Title:
NetworkManager needs to set dnsdomainname based on DHCP response

Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: cnetworkmanager

The DHCP server responds with the dns domainname, and NetworkManager
sets this correctly in /etc/resolv.conf, but it does not add
appropriate entries with this domain to /etc/hosts, nor does it set
  dnsdomainname using the result.
