Title:
Need to enable networking manually to connect to the Internet

Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
When I used 9.10 and when ever I switch on my modem, Ubuntu connected
to the Internet automatically. In 10.04 even whn I switch on my modem,
the networking icon shows that I am disconnected from Internet. I have
to right click on it, choose enable networking to get connected. This
is really annoying, especially to those who know less about computers.
