Title:
can't see written text in dash if application isn't found

Status in Unity:
  Fix Released
Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: unity

When hitting super key and starting a search in the dash, if no
application is found I can't see what i have typed (the search box is
blacked out along with everything else). Also happens if the dash
hasn't loaded the application list, but this isn't that annoying since
this only takes a second or two, and being on a USB stick, I would
expect things like this. It is in the other hand very annoying in the
first scenario because if i misspell something I cant see what i have
typed wrong, and must start all over really carefully so i won't
  misspell anything.
