Hi Tyler, and thanks for your report. I am not getting quite the same
symptoms are you describe in your report description. For me, the
dropbox installation does not seem to complete in Software Center, but
in fact Dropbox can be launched successfully for me using Unity.

I'll attach some logs that might be useful.

Title:
  Dropbox won't finish installing in Software Center

Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Dropbox says "applying changes"

  When I open Dropbox by clicking the icon in the top left menu, it
  says:

  In order to use Dropbox you must install the proprietary daemon.

  I can't find a cancel installation button in Software Center. I can't
  install anything named Daemon until Dropbox finishes or cancels
  installing.
