Progress screen shows spurious "Searching" task

Bug description:
Ubuntu Software Center 5.2, Ubuntu Pangolin
I have not been able to reproduce this bug, but: While installing
Caribou, a "Searching" task appeared in the Progress screen.
When Caribou finished installing, the status text for the "Searching"
task changed to "Updating software list", then the task disappeared.
This task should not have appeared at all.
