Title:
Karmic - "Enable Wireless" button greyed out and won't enable

Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
Apparently I am not the only one who has been having this issue. I was
having a few problems with my wireless and I decided to check and see
if I could fix them by clicking the "Enable Wireless" option in the
Network Manager. I went to try and click it to obviously re-enable it
but the option was greyed out. I tried rebooting, shutting down, and
even a damned reinstall. I tested the card with System Testing and it
detected it and I also tried it under OpenSUSE 11.1 and it detected
it. So now I have to downgrade to Jaunty. Lovely.
