since then and it's very possible that this issue has been resolved for

try running Software Center from a terminal window as follows:
$ software-center
Then then please paste any output in the terminal to this bug report.

software center not closing out process

after closing software center the cpu usage goes up to around 70% and
when checking the system monitor it shows the software-center process
still up and taking most of the cpu usage and has it were i have to
kill it
