Public bug reported:

clean install, machine has dual nic. Both nic's are connected to the
same gigabit switch getting DHCP from the same Ubuntu ISC DHCP server
but with (obviously) different configuration.

No connectivity until I do an 'ifconfig down eth1' at which point the
internet springs in to life. If I then do an 'ifconfig up eth1' it
remains working.

A logoff/on will produce the same results again.

I will try internet connectivity from the console on a restart and see
if the issue occurs without Gnome/network-manager (in the near future.

Simon
