The EDS Contacts Integration add-on that comes bundled with Thunderbird in Oneiric will allow you to access the contacts that are stored in the EDS backend.
Since the Ubuntu One contacts are stored in EDS, this should allow you to use Thunderbird to read/write to your Ubuntu One contacts. However, I believe desktop-couch is a little bit broken in Oneiric. Once that fix lands, I believe the Ubuntu One contacts will become available. That was always the plan, anyhow. ;) -Mike -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to thunderbird in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/743096 Title: contacts only sync with evolution not with thunderbird Status in “evolution-couchdb” package in Ubuntu: Triaged Status in “thunderbird” package in Ubuntu: Triaged Status in “evolution-couchdb” source package in Oneiric: Triaged Status in “thunderbird” source package in Oneiric: Triaged Bug description: the contacts sync only works with evolution but should be used with other clients like thunderbird. how about a U1 add-on?
