experiencing this issue with recent versions of Software Center? Many
fixes have been made since then and it's very possible that this issue
has been resolved for you. If that is the case, please let us know so
that we can close this bug, or feel free to close it yourself.
If you are experiencing it, please try the tests that Michael suggested
in comment #3, and let us know the result.

Software Centre is very resource intensive, even when not
installing/dling

Bug description:
Binary package hint: software-center
When using Software Centre, it creates a heavier load on the CPU,
causing my temps to skyrocket from 60 degrees Celsius to at least 90.
This occurs when using the Software Centre, even when not isntalling
or downloading, but is worse when downloading/installing.
