graphics driver will not activate.

Bug description:
When trying to activate the driver "ATI/ADM propietary FGLRX graphics driver"
a window opens with the following error message: "Sorry, the jockey backend
crashed. Please file a bug at: ubuntu-bug jockey-common. Trying to recover by
restarting backend.
The computer has done this before without any errors, but after reinstalling
ubuntu it fails.
HP Pavillion dv6. Ubuntu 9.04

It fixed itself. Under Hardware Drivers it tells me to restart my computer in
order to activate the driver. Oh well.
