There are tons of threads related to this problem (but for older ubuntu
distros), see for example:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ndiswrapper/+bug/205000
I don't know if it is a problem with ndiswrapper, with wpa_supplicant
or with NM.
Note that I also tried this with Karmic Koala, where there was the
same problem, while the problem didn't existed in Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty
Jackalope (indeed it showed up when I did the upgrade: Jaunty ->
Karmic, and didn't get fixed when I upgraded again Karmic -> Lucid).
Regards.
