Title:
Network manager breaks built-in mobile broadband modem -- Verizon CDMA
(Sierra)
Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Binary package hint: network-manager
After upgrading Network Manager my built-in mobile broadband modem
(Verizon CDMA, ppp0) stopped working. It would still show up but it
would get stuck trying to connect. Reverting the update fixed the
problem. I just wanted to report it. This is the update I did that
made things break:
network-manager (0.7.1.git.5.272c6a626-0ubuntu1) to
0.8~a~git.20090804t185522.4bab334-0ubuntu1
network-manager-gnome (0.7.1.git.3.0461fff8-0ubuntu2) to
0.8~a~git.20090805t131328.d1edfce-0ubuntu1
lsusb tells me my card is:
Bus 006 Device 002: ID 1199:0220 Sierra Wireless, Inc.
