Possibly transient or something. I applied all updates and rebooted and
this went away.

Title:
  Upon setting auto-hide, launcher never re-appears when mouse goes to
  left side or top left corner

Bug description:
  I'm not sure when it happened but I assume  it was caused by some
  recent update. auto-hide is no longer functional for me at all. I have
  to press the super key to see the launcher.
