Title:
Wireless connection cannot be established anymore
Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Binary package hint: network-manager
There is no possibility anymore to establish an wireless connection with the
router.
Let say I have router A (my neighbour's router) and B (my own router)
I have a C (acer laptop with a broadcom network card) and D (Asus laptop X50N
with a Atheros Communications network card.
On both laptops Ubuntu 10.04 Licud Linx is installed with the latest kernel
update from last week 23.
I am not quite sure if the problem is caused by upgrading the OS from 9.10 to
10.04 or by installing the latest kernel update.
Right now I cannot connect C and D to any wireless network connection in the
neighbourhood at all via A or B while my Ipod does. My Ipod is using connection
B.
I did some investigation to see whether the driver was loaded /installed or
not:
sudo lshw | grep -i "configuration:" | grep -i "driver="
