Multiple entries on network connection when changing wireless security

Bug description:
See the attached shot. What happened was that I changed the wireless
security of "eduroam" (to correct an error) and now I have two entry
for it. At the same time, the system manager switched on protection
for eduroam-guest, and now I have the two listed.
iwlist wlan0 scan show the multiple AP of the two networks:
(0)romano-asus:~% iwlist wlan0 scan | grep ESSID
ESSID:"eduroam"
ESSID:"eduroam"
ESSID:"eduroam-guest"
ESSID:"eduroam-guest"
ESSID:"eduroam-guest"

Netbook Asus 1005P, ath9k wireless driver, oneiric 11.10 with gnome
