Pretty queer: after filing this bug the delay on session close vanished
and never returned ... ;-) Presumably a Unity-2D update has fixed it in
the meantime. So I mark this bug as Resolved/WorksForMe.

Title:
long delay on session close
Status in “unity-2d” package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Bug description:
Seems I have a similar issue to the already fixed #812104, but this
one was fixed in unity-2d 5.6 and I use 5.12.0. On session logout,
there is a approx. 30s delay without any activity. Under 11.04 with
netbook-launcher-efl the logout/shutdown time was about 2-3 sec. i

As this is a German system, some messages are in German, meaning:
Warnung der Fensterverwaltung: windows manager warning
Die Ressource ist zur Zeit nicht verfügbar: resource temporarily not available
I guess those Fatal IO error 11 are due to a timing issue: objects
called that are already destroyed? and then waiting for a timeout?
