Bug description:
I am on -proposed and started to notice the following issue - when
dash is restored a black overlay is visible over the other windows
until you move the mouse.

I tested the standard precise installation on another machine and
found that there is a black background flicker on main archives but it
is less noticeable. I believe that it should never be drawn.
