  wpa_supplicant running with no wireless card

Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete
Status in “wpasupplicant” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  wpa_supplicant is running even when no wireless card is present in the system 
and uses up memory.
  Removing it is not possible due to dependency issues.
