Title:
NetworkManager gets struck trying to configure mobile broadband modem
  -- BSNL Qualcomm ZTE EVDO AC8700 800M

Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: network-manager

After upgrading Network Manager my mobile broadband modem (ZTE CDMA,
ppp0) stopped working. It would still show up but it would get stuck
trying to connect. Reverting the update fixed the problem. I just
wanted to report it. This is the update I did that made things break:

  network-manager (0.7.1~rc4.1.cf199a964-0ubuntu2) to
0.8~a~git.20090820t182117.cb60390-0ubuntu2
  network-manager-gnome (0.7.1.git.3.0461fff8-0ubuntu2) to
0.8~a~git.20090818t151413.a8b7eed-0ubuntu2

lsusb tells me my card is:
Bus 002 Device 007: ID 05c6:6000 Qualcomm, Inc.
