Title:
Cannot install Google Chrome when the beta is installed
Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
I have Google Chrome Beta installed, but encountered a bug, so I want
to revert to stardard Google Chrome. After downloading the .deb and
running it, I expect the Software Centre to allow me to install it,
but instead I get:
Conflicts with the installed package 'google-chrome-beta'
Error
The Software Centre should handle the awkward dependency issue and
remove -beta for me (after a confirmation) and not force the user to
have to manually remove the conflicting packages.
Ubuntu 12.04
