Title:
Sound volume sets to 100% on soundcard switching

Status in “gnome-control-center” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Hi,

  very annoying bug!

I have an external XFi USB soundcard. When I switch the card the
volume changes to 100%. That should be fixed. keep the same volume
even if the soundcard settings are changed. Same for switching to
another sound setting 4.1 or 5.1 e.g. Or you switch from headphone to
speakers. Sometimes also problems with supend mode.

Please don't set the volume to 100%.

Also teh soundcard settings change after reboot or suspend.
