I confirm the fix works after reboot. I do not have the issue described by Marco Chiapetta. However, if you try to drop the files on another file (and not a folder or empty space), then you get the same message but without the mouse block. Expected behavior is to extract the files in the current folder, as if they were dropped on empty space (this is particularly annoying in detailed view, where you have no empty space to drag files to). Maybe this is a pcmanfm problem now ?
