Everyone: does this bug appear only after you already opened a pdf document successfully and closed it? If this is the case, this bug is a duplicate of Bug #806605.

The status bar says "Done", there's no error message nor any indication of anything being wrong. The issue is intermittent, and happens every once in a while. The very same file, if I retry later, may be shown perfectly.
