Hi FransGuena, and thanks for your report. SInce your report isn't
actually about a bug, I'll do my best to give you pointers for getting
help with Ubuntu in general, and I'll also give you specific info about
your question.

First, a good place to start for getting help is here:

  http://www.ubuntu.com/support

The official Ubuntu documentation homepage is here, with help for each
of the supported versions of Ubuntu:

  https://help.ubuntu.com/

Based on your system info, I can see that you are using Ubuntu 11.04. Help for
your version is found here:

  https://help.ubuntu.com/11.04/index.html

Now, regarding your specific question. In 11.04's Software Center, if
you install from the details page for an application (click the "More
Info" button in the list view) you will see a panel slide up from the
bottom of the panel that offers to add the application to the Unity
launcher (the panel on the left edge of the window). Just click to
choose to add the application, and at the end of the install it will be
added to the launcher. Then, to launch the application, just click the
corresponding application in the launcher.

You can also search for any installed application or file easily from
the Unity dash. This is accessed by clicking the small Ubuntu logo in
the very top left edge of any window. You'll see a search field
displayed. Just start typing into that field to find the file or
application you are looking for.

Here is the help page for Unity in 11.04. I think you will find this
very helpful as well!

  https://help.ubuntu.com/11.04/ubuntu-help/unity-introduction.html

Thanks again, I hope this information has been helpful.

Best regards,
Gary
