Title: Add an option to not expose the Filesystem directly Status in Nautilus: Expired Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu: Triaged Bug description: Binary package hint: nautilus This is a tracking bug for upstream https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=122381. I assume Ubuntu isn't too interested in adding this feature before upstream does. From upstream bug description: "It'd be nice to have an option to disable browsing the root filesystem in the tree, so that only $HOME can be browsed. Browsing outside $HOME is useless for me and probably confusing for non-experienced users who will get all sorts of write errors when trying to write to /usr/lib or will be confused when browsing /dev." I've attached an initial patch to the upstream bug and also will attach it here for completeness.
