I downloaded Ubuntu 12.04LTS of ubuntu on July 29th, i installed it on
my laptop and than ran update manager and installed all updates. After
running updates the software center will not open.
It gave the following error:

To fix this issue
I Rename that log file
from
*.log to *.log.invalid
then run software center again
if that works then you can delete the old log file, if it doesn't then change
the name back
** Affects: software-center (Ubuntu)
