Title:
Canvas causes compiz slowdown when rendering offscreen
Status in “firefox” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
Binary package hint: firefox
Using the Three.js engine (probably unimportant, apart from the fact
that it alters the SVG data 60 times a second), when I'm rendering
some nodes off-screen, the system has full CPU usage and graphics stop
updating.
Example can be seen at http://richardlyon.co.uk/force/index2.html and
using arrows+WASD to maneuver a node out of shot.
