If you don't have gedit, then you can use any text editor to edit the
file /etc/pm/config.d/modules but you have to run the editor with
administrative privileges otherwise you won't be able to save the file.
For example from the command line you could run...

sudo vi /etc/pm/config.d/modules

...or...

sudo leafpad /etc/pm/config.d/modules

...depending what text editor you have. Then add the line as described
in the previous post.

Title:
Atheros AR242x/AR542x wifi reports "device not ready" after suspend /
  resume

Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
After first boot, the wireless on my Fujitsu Lifebook P1510 functions
  well.

However, after suspending, the wireless adapter never comes back into
operation, with nm-applet reporting "device not ready". There seems to
be no option but a complete reboot. After a reboot it's back in
  operation again.

Should I consider reloading some kind of kernel module to bring the
wireless back up, if so, how can I automate this, and should this be
triggered by the network manager itself on resume?
