(I'm french, sorry for eventual errors of English)
This bug affect my on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS amd 64 with nautilus 3.4.2.

When I use a FAT32 or NTFS partition in a tab, my folders are created in
other tab.

I would copy my Music on my Android Phone (SD), I select the files and I
can't click to "Copy" because nautilus consider I would to copy the
empty folder in other tab. (he consider no files selected in the empty
folder)

I have this bug for 2 - 3 months approximately, when I can select my
files for a copy they are moved or copied in the wrong tab !

The bug is "random", to reproduce it, it's easy when you use Ubuntu (you
have frequetly this problem with FAT32 paritition), but you can try
several time to constat the bug.

Try with a SD Card or USB Key in FAT32 and you HDD in ext4 for example, open 3
or 4 tab and move form one to another.
Try to Open a file in a tab, an move this to n other tab.
If you can't see the bug, try again, I have the bug every time I use a FAT32
partition.

For a NTFS partition I don't know if the bug is present... I have not found the
bug with NTFS personnaly, only with FAT16/32, in only a Linux partition (ext4)
Nautilus don't have this bug.
Thanks you.

→ I have tested (when I write this message) to clic to proprities
(contextual menu) in the ext4 folder affected with the bug, I think
nautilus give the detail of the FAT32 folder (by logic) and not,
Nautilus crash, it's a chance because apport have been started and I
have send the bug report.

Title:
  access errors when using tabs

Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: nautilus

I wanted to import my files from a external drive to my internal ntfs drive,
where i store all my non-os-data.
So i opened the ntfs disk in the first tab and the external disk (ntfs, too)
in the second one.
Now, if i right click in the window (first tab) and choose to make a new
directory, file or whatever, it is written to the folder on my external drive,
which i have opened in the second tab.
(Also, i cannot delete a file from the local disc because the external drive
is read-only.)
Edit: The second drive is also writable but if i open them both in two tabs,
i cant delete files or folders on the first and the second drive.
If i open the two drives in two separate windows instead of tabs it works
alright.

I hope you understand what i mean, it is really difficult to explain.
Maybe i will record a video showing what happens and post a link...
